Changes to National Insurance payments for self employed
If you do not pay your Class 2 National Insurance Contributions (“NIC”) by direct debit, you will have received a demand for your Class NIC for the six months to 8 October 2011.
You will no longer get monthly or quarterly demands.
The contributions are due to be paid on or before 31 January 2012 and should be paid separately from any other amounts due to H M Revenue & Customs.
It is important to remember that these demands go only to you – we at robinson+co do not get a copy from H M Revenue & Customs and so won’t be able to send you a reminder and payslip!
The next request for payment will be for the six months to 7 April 2012 and will be payable on or before 31 July 2012.
Monthly direct debit remains the most popular way to pay these contributions and we can easily arrange this on your behalf. If you would like us to do so, or have any queries regarding National Insurance please contact Ruth on 01900 603623 or ruthbennett@robinsonco.co.uk or Angela on 01946 692423 or angelahawkins@robinsonco.co.uk
