News : National Minimum Wage - October 2010
   
     
 

The government has announced the National Minimum Wage to take effect from 1 October 2010 as follows:

•  Workers aged 21 and over - £5.93 per hour.

•  18 to 20-year-olds - £4.92 per hour.

•  16 and 17-year-olds - £3.64 per hour.

For the first time a rate for apprentices has also been set.  This is £2.50 per hour.
