HMRC Telephone Requests - take note
From 1st May 2017 HM Revenue and Customs (HMRC) are refusing to confirm individuals pay and tax details when we ask for this information over the phone. HMRC will instead send a copy of this information to the tax payer which will then need to be forwarded on to the agent.
HMRC say this change is to reduce handling costs for taxpayers as they receive 2.7 million requests by phone for pay and tax details each year.
Therefore it is important you provide us with your P60s or P45s to enable us to complete your annual tax return in a timely manner.
