Leaving the European Union
Today the UK has taken the historic step of voting to leave the European Union.
The immediate impact on markets has been significant, as expected. There will be a period in which the government will have to establish how to move forward, and then those plans will be implemented. In this period, volatility is to be expected for currencies and assets.
