'Phishy' Email Scams - again!
Victoria Bishop, robinson+co’s Tax Partner, is yet again warning everybody to be aware of scam emails apparently from HM Revenue & Customs.
“HM Revenue & Customs do not contact taxpayers by email,” says Victoria, “and you should ignore any email that says it is from HMRC. Do not open the email and delete it immediately.”
HMRC strongly advises customers to not click on websites, links contained in suspicious emails or open attachments.
If you have any concerns about the validity of an email from HMRC, please forward it to firstname.lastname@example.org for advice.
