National Minimum Wage - don't forget the changes on 1 October 2014
The National Minimum Wage rates change on 1 October 2014 and it is important that all employers increase hourly rates accordingly on this day.
If robinson+co processes your payroll then we will deal with matters for you.
The new rates are:
Workers aged 21 and over - up 3% to £6.50 per hour
18 to 20 year olds - up 2% to £5.13 per hour
16 to 17 year olds – up 2% to £3.79 per hour
Apprentices – up 2% to £2.73 per hour*
*You should note that this rate is only for apprentices if they are aged under 19 or in the first year of the apprenticeship. After that normal rates apply.
Contact Victoria Bishop, or your normal contact at robinson+co if you have any further questions.
