Employers - worried about the headlines?
Employment Law made a rare foray onto the headlines on 1 October as the new pension rules – called “Auto Enrolment” - came into force.
This means that all employees (subject to some exceptions) and their employers have to make contributions to a pension scheme unless the employee formally opts out of the arrangement.
The rules are to be introduced gradually, and all employers will have a “staging date” at some date between now and 2016.
We at robinson+co are fully aware of the changes and have plans to contact all of our employer clients ahead of their staging date.
So, if you haven’t heard from us, then it’s good news as it means you do not have to enter the new regime quite yet.
However, if you have any queries at all please do not hesitate to speak to your normal contact here at robinson+co on 01900 603623 or 01946 692423 or 019467 25808.
