Happy New Year!
The old adage may say that accountants and tax advisers are “boring” but at least we at robinson+co get to celebrate two New Years!
This year Easter coincides with the start of the new tax year so we can celebrate even more riotously than normal.
However, Victoria Bishop, Tax Partner at robinson+co, warns clients that the end of a tax year means that you have to submit a tax return for the tax year ending on 5 April 2012.
“We will be sending out our annual Tax Questionnaires on 20 April,” warns Victoria. “The sooner we receive the completed questionnaire and associated paperwork, then the sooner we can advise you of any outstanding tax liability or claim repayment of any tax overpaid,” she continues.
“January 2013, the deadline for the submission of the tax return, may seem a long way in the future now but it will arrive too soon and none of us want to be in the position of a last minute rush with your tax being calculated on the day it is due. So please help us, to help you by letting us have your information as soon as possible,” Victoria finishes.
